Nursing

Personal Support Worker (PSW)

Type: Casual | Shift: All | Date Posted: Friday September 6, 2019

About Us: CAMA Woodlands has been serving the seniors since 1970. We provide Resident-based care and seek to enrich the lives of our residents by having Enthusiasm for Excellence, Enhancing the Quality of Life, Finding success through Team Work, Respect, Dignity and Trust.

Hours: as scheduled, casual basis to start with opportunity to apply for part-time when lines become available. Days,evenings and nights, including weekends. Must be available every other weekend for all part time positions.

Rate of Pay: $20.40 per hour – full benefits available to full and part time employees after completion of a successful 3-month probation

Qualifications: PSW certification is required, we are looking for individuals with a good attendance record and who have a proven record record of being adaptable and flexible. A current First Aid and CPR certificate training is an asset.
Must be able to work as a team member and with the elderly. Must have a Vulnerable Sector Police Check – not older than 6 months.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver client focused care within the full scope of practice of a PSW

  • Provides personal care in accordance with individual needs

  • Assists with meals, feeding, providing nourishment supplements as needed.

  • Contributes to the effectiveness of the service plan by observing, communicating and recording appropriately.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Reports issues and concerns to the Nurse in charge, Director of Care or Clinical Manager.

Operations

Payroll and HR Coordinator

Type: 30 hours per week Maternity Leave 1 year | Date Posted: Tuesday September 10, 2019

Hours: 8:30am – 4:30pm 4 days a week

Rate of Pay: 22 plus Benefits

Qualifications: Post secondary degree or diploma, preferably in HR or business administration. We are looking for an individual with strong computer skills, who understands union environments and who has a proven record of being adaptable and flexible. Must be able to work independently and as a team member. Must have a Vulnerable Sector Police Check.

Responsibilities:

  • Biweekly payroll – reviewing time and attendance through an HRIS, review and process final payroll for all departments. Make adjustments based on union contacts, statutory holidays, prepare ROEs and T4s. Experience with Staff Schedule Care and/or Deluxe (previously Payweb) systems an asset.

  • Maintain accurate personnel files (address, telephone, and banking information) for all departments. Maintain and update seniority lists, vacation hours, sick hours, pension enrollments/terminations, rate increases and benefit enrollments/terminations.

  • Booking, preparing and assisting in interviews. Reference checks and organizing orientation process. Inputting new hires into the appropriate systems.

  • Ability to appreciate the confidential nature of the position.

  • Knowledge and skills in computers required (Expert in Word and Excel)

  • Attend meetings and take minutes as required.

  • Order office supplies, staying within a budget and reviewing charges.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Experience with GSuite, Point Click Care and/or Squarespace would be an asset.
