Payroll Analyst
CAMA Woodlands Long Term Care Home has an immediate opening for a Part-Time Payroll Analyst.
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Payroll Analyst is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll for approximately 230 employees within a non-profit long-term care home. The position ensures compliance with legislative requirements, collective agreements, and organizational policies, while supporting the Finance and Human Resources teams.

Responsibilities
Administer full-cycle bi-weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies, legislation, and collective agreements.
Process employee changes (hires, terminations, leaves, wage adjustments) and additional payments accurately and on time.
Reconcile payroll data before and after processing, investigating and resolving discrepancies with HR, Finance, or the payroll provider.
Prepare and submit ROEs promptly for all employment changes, ensuring accurate reporting of hours and earnings.
Maintain supporting documentation and respond to Service Canada inquiries as needed.
Update and maintain seniority and wage grid data in accordance with collective agreements.
Process wage progressions and adjustments accurately and within required timelines.
Prepare payroll and costing reports for Finance and HR and assist with related journal entries, reconciliations, and audits.
Maintain organized, confidential payroll records in accordance with legislation and internal policies.
Act as the primary contact for payroll system and provider-related issues or updates.
Participate in system testing and improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Partner with HR and Finance to ensure data consistency and alignment across systems.
Respond professionally to employee payroll inquiries, providing accurate and timely information.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Education:
Post-secondary diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline.
Certification as a Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) from the National Payroll Institute.
Minimum of two years’ experience in full-cycle payroll administration; experience in a unionized and/or long-term care environment is an asset.
Strong understanding of payroll legislation, collective agreements, and ESA related legislation.
Previous experience with payroll implementation is an asset.
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all aspects of payroll administration.
Working Conditions:
Part-time position — 37.5 hours bi-weekly (2 days one week, 3 days the next, aligned with payroll schedule).
Must be able to work during core business hours to meet payroll deadlines.
Flexibility may be required during audit periods, year-end, or special projects.
This is an in-office position, located in Burlington, ON.
Employment Terms
$29, 000 - $32,000 annually based on education and experience.
Participation in a Registered Retirement Saving Plan (RRSP).
